Our people

Community Lifestyles is made up of a dedicated staff team of around 400 employees, ranging from Support Workers and Team Leaders to the Support and Development, and Staff Development teams based in our Kerr Street premises. A small team of very experienced managers oversee our day-to-day activities, ensuring things run smoothly:

Andrea Duffield (Operational Manager)
Andrea is a qualified social care manager with over twenty years experience in the voluntary sector. Andrea began her social care career as a support worker and has worked in a number of management, quality assurance and practice development roles over the years.

Robert Darroch (Regional Manager)
Robert is a qualified Social Worker who has worked in social care for over 30 years, mainly in the voluntary sector but also in hospital resettlement and with the Care Inspectorate.

Catherine Sinclair (Area Manager)
Catherine has 26 years' experience of working in health and social care.

Gary Murphy (Area Manager)
Gary has worked for Key and Community Lifestyles for 22 years. He has worked in social care for over 28 years and has 22 years' experience of managing social care services.

Maureen Donnelly (Area Manager)
Maureen has worked in social care with Key and Community Lifestyles for 29 years. She has 26 years’ experience of managing social care services.

 

Board of Directors
Our Board brings together a wealth of experience from a range of backgrounds and professions to help guide the organisation in everything we do:

David Meechan (Chair)
David is an auditor with Audit Scotland.

Angus Turner
Angus is a retired minister of the Church of Scotland and founding Director of Community Lifestyles.

Bill Mooney
Bill is a founding member of Key and a retired chartered engineer.

Susan Hunter
Susan is a lecturer and researcher in Social Work at Edinburgh University, with a longstanding interest in services for people with learning disabilities. She is a founding Director of Community Lifestyles.

John Cameron
John is a former Clinical Manager of Adult Autism Services for NHS Greater Glasgow.

Ann McGuigan
Ann is now retired, having previously been Head of Quality and Contracts at The Richmond Fellowship Scotland.

We also receive support with functions such as Human Resources and Finance from our partner organisation Key.
