Remembering Shaun

Earlier this year, there was some very sad news at one of our Glasgow services. Shaun, who featured in a few of our News stories, passed away at a far too young age.

His team and neighbours wanted to commemorate Shaun in some way and as he had loved looking after the garden at the tenement, they decided on a garden bench.

With donations from his staff team they organised for Glasgow wood to create a bespoke bench from recycled wood. Shaun was very on the idea of recycling so he would thoroughly approve of this approach.

His family are also delighted with the bench and as it was Shaun's birthday recently, it provided a lovely opportunity for them to visit the back court of his old flat and remember him in a place he loved.

As you can see it's a beautiful, simple bench and a very fitting tribute to Shaun, who is hugely missed by everyone's lives he touched.
